Word of Felix's new status spread quickly through Banilor Clinic, and staff members greeted him respectfully as he passed. Being Pedro's apprentice on probation meant he would likely become an actual apprentice soon.
When that happened, they'd all be addressing him as "Mr. Zeller". No one wanted to be caught disrespecting him now.
Instead of heading straight home, Felix took a detour through the market. He picked up several items Katie loved, including a collection of stuffed animals. Despite her age, Katie still had that childhood innocence.
As Felix navigated the narrow alleys that led to his apartment, a figure stepped into his path, blocking the way.
"Mr. Harrell?" Felix called out.
Felix recognized Clarence immediately. There was a hint of surprise in his voice, but his eyes remained calm, as if he'd somehow expected this confrontation. Since he was just an apprentice on probation, he still had to address Clarence respectfully.
"Felix, do you think you can walk all over
