Ivy opened her little mouth. But instead of answering with words, she stabbed at Adrian with her dagger to express her resistance.

Adrian grabbed the swinging dagger and tossed it to the ground. Soon afterward, he kneed her in the abdomen heavily once again.

Ivy shook profusely. Adrian loosened his grip over her and she landed on the ground. She raised her tear-streaked face and her mouth hung open. She appeared to be in agony.
