I moved in silence and hid in the shadows, watching the clearing where two guys had set up a simple camp.

I sized things up fast. It was obvious they were the fugitive sorcerers who refused to submit to King Alpha Cedrick.

Honestly, I expected to find more of them, but what worried me wasn’t the number, it was the woman they had as a hostage.

She was tied to a tree, and they were trying to make her drink something while she fought and resisted.

“ We have to save her, what the hell are you waiting for!” my wolf Gale pushed me to act.

“ There’s a magical protection around them so they won’t be detected,” I frowned as I felt the aggressive magic try to repel me.

“ It doesn’t matter, that’s no obstacle for us!”
