"Aaahh!" A scream tore from Lyra’s lips as her body shot upright on the bed like a spring.
Anguish flooded her chest with a horrible premonition. She couldn’t feel the bond with her mate and needed to see him, right now or she’d lose him forever!
She threw the blanket open and turned, intent on climbing out of bed.
Her head pounded, and she’d been resting in Alpha King Cedrick’s castle.
The women had stayed behind this time, organizing themselves amid all the unions that were suddenly forming.
Waiting for Khalum, Lyra had barely slept during her nap.
She should’ve gone with him, not listened to his stubbornness, protected him like she had in the past.
But Khalum and Drakkar insisted on going alone this time.
"Hurry up, Lyra, I need to see my Alpha!" Aztoria roared anxiously.
Lyra’s hand tangled in the edge of the blanket and her feet were still covered by part of it.
She pitched toward the floor, dazed, in a tangle of sheets and unable to cover her face.
"Aah!" She squeezed h
