The massive wolf had climbed to the top of the thorny vines, standing beside Victoria. He licked her cheek gently, and Draco told her to stay safe behind the army.

"No, I'm going with you!" The vampire’s red eyes glowed with determination. "No, my love, that man is dangerous, he’s full of tricks!" Dracomir didn’t want to expose her.

"Look at me, wolf, look at me!" She grabbed the soft fur at the sides of his cheeks. Alan’s intense eyes stared at her with obsession. If something happened to his mate, he would die with her.

"I’m not weak, little wolf. I’m a warrior like you, Alan. I will fight by your side, my Lord!" she growled, baring her fangs.

They had to admit Victoria had more balls than the warriors from her realm, who were now watching from the walls.

From a distance, of course, so they wouldn’t get caught in the crossfire.
