Howard was waiting for Yvonne outside the building.
When he saw her coming out, he immediately went up to her, ignoring the pain in his body.
"Did Mark use Jade to threaten you to do something? Don't—"
"No," Yvonne interrupted Howard. She held him by his arm.
"You'll be able to see Jade tonight. Go get your wounds cleaned up. Don't make her worry."
Howard was overjoyed. "I can see her tonight?"
The next second, he shook his head frantically. "No. No. Mark isn't that nice. He must have surely asked you to do something. I can't go and see Jade …"
"This is something between Mark and me. I dragged you two into this."
Yvonne felt guilty. She sighed and said, "But I could only get you the chance to see her once a week. I'm sorry. I'll quickly find a way to rescue her."
Howard was a little disappointed, but he forced a smile. He seemed to be comforting himself. He murmured, "Once a week is enough. I just need to make sure that she's fine."
Yvonne's heart ached even more when she
