Roman slowly turned to Roxanne, the amusement gone from his face. The smile had vanished. His gaze was hard, dry, as cold as a sentence.

“Go away, Roxanne.”

Roxanne blinked, confused.

“What?”

“You heard me. Get out of my house.”

“Are you kicking me out?”

Roman took a step toward her. He didn't raise his voice. It wasn't necessary.

“I'm prioritizing. And you're not on that list.”

Roxanne clenched her jaw, her pride wounded, but she didn't argue. She grabbed her purse with tense movements and walked toward the door, her heels clicking on the floor like a silent threat. Before leaving, she turned her head and looked at him with a venomous smile.

“Someday, Roman... you're going to regret this.”

Roman didn't respond. He didn't even look at her.
