Chapter 15 —You Have Something Dangerous
Narrator:
“Come with me,” Roman said suddenly, rising from the table with his usual confidence that brooked no argument.
Aylin looked at him, puzzled.
“Excuse me?”
He took two clean glasses and an almost untouched bottle of wine.
“To the garden. To the corner.”
He didn't need to clarify which one. They both knew what he was talking about.
That dark corner between the vines and the stone benches, where the night always seemed darker and the world ceased to exist. The place they had unwittingly begun to share.
Aylin hesitated, but Roman was already walking toward the dining room exit, so she followed him.
The night breeze caressed her skin as soon as they stepped outside. Everything was silent except for the soft crunch of their footsteps on the gravel.
When they arrived, Roman set the glasses on the low table between the benches, poured wine into both, and handed her one.
