I opened my door and walked in.

Amelia was on a couch reading.

I looked around, and Max and Kyle weren't there.

"Where did they go?" I asked her, and she smiled at me.

"To check on the displaced people," she said, and I nodded. It was their responsibility anyway, so it was okay.

I looked at my
