Claire could only smile wryly. "I-It's free."

Elaine's worry vaporized right then, and she laughed. "Free? Fantastic!"

Claire then sighed, staring pensively at her parents.

She thought she should tell them everything when they woke up, even trying to rehearse the words, but she just couldn't find what to say.

That was when Jacob suddenly asked, "I don't remember getting on the ship, Claire. Did we fall asleep soon after we left home and have to be carried aboard?"
