Charlie suddenly remembered his childhood days, when he and his parents would set off fireworks together on the shores of Herrolls Bay back in Eastcliff.
He had certainly come a long way since then, following a life of hardship, humiliation, and tribulations. However, his trauma never got the better of him, nor did he become twisted or antisocial.
Even now, he was kind and righteous not only because of his upbringing, but because his parents were there to give him a happy childhood.
