As the Cheval Blanc Randheli was a C-shaped islet, the outer circle was a shallow reef, suitable for diving.
However, because the reef was sharp and the waters shallow, ships couldn't get too close. It was down the middle of the cove, where the waters go over ten feet deep, that small and medium vessels could steer in.
Management was naturally quick enough to intercept the other ships, stopping them outside the cove and forcing them to patrol the outside reaches.
