While Charlie was confused about what a man was doing competing in a woman's weight class, many others around him were already jeering.
Nudging the man beside him, he said, "Hey, is there something I should know about that fighter?"
The man, Bojo, shrugged. "Well, she claims to be a woman trapped in a man's body ever since she was a child. Even said she's taking anti-androgens and all that, all while taking part in various women's category matches. On top of that, she insisted that she's going to have gender-affirmation surgery later, too."
Charlie nodded, a little stumped. "But technically speaking, she is physically a man?"
"Exactly!" Bojo huffed indignantly. "It's really a little too much, letting her take part in a sports event where physicality holds a defining advantage."
"Well, in that case, how did she get the official panel's approval to compete?" Charlie asked, puzzled.
Bojo sighed. "Because sporting committees these days are as corrupt as FIFA back in the day. Pay enou
