Nate was sweating buckets even as he quickly understood the situation, cursing inwardly that this was exactly why Jimmy had signed that ten-year contract without a fight.

It was a trap!

Glaring murderously at Jimmy, he snarled through his teeth as he demanded, "What good would this do, Jimmy? If you affect the law firm's income, your wages will be affected too! Are you really willing to sacrifice an arm and a leg just to get back at me?"

Jimmy smiled and shot back, "My wage is guaranteed in our contract without any conditional clause. That means you're paying me fourteen million each year, even if your profits are shrinking. There's no way I'd just let you get away with it, would I?"

It was only then that Nate remembered Jimmy had refused the stocks, only demanding a fixed wage and commission.

He was the one being a fool when he presumed that Jimmy was being short-sighted. The prick had already planned everything!

Glaring spitefully at Jimmy, he growled threateningly, "Fine. I wo
