July 2017 – One week later
I won’t lie — Mathilda looks beautiful today. Of course, it’s thanks to Paula’s makeup skills and wardrobe choices. Still, at least I’m not embarrassed to stand next to her.
“Mathilda, you look absolutely stunning and perfect!”
As always, my grandmother showered her with praise, looking at Mathilda the way she probably wishes she could look at her own granddaughter.
But I’m not in the mood today. Paula and I have been fighting. I’m jealous — too jealous — so I’ve been treating her coldly ever since that damn photo shoot for a luxury brand.
I hated watching that male model wrap his arms around her. Unfortunately, I found out about the pose through Mathilda’s assistant — the one I pay monthly to keep tabs on her.
I didn’t expect Paula to snap back so hard, though. She threatened to leave me, called me pathetic and weak. Damn it. I sound just like Mathilda.
