"Then you're wasting your time here with me," Gale retorted.

"My time is willingly spent on you," Shawn replied calmly.

Gale felt a warm sensation in her heart. To be treated as an exception, something special and unique, was indeed wonderful.

"Okay, okay." Taking advantage of the lack of attention, Gale quickly planted a kiss on his cheek. "I'll come to you before work ends, and we'll go home together."
