“Alex…” Edgar’s voice was low and controlled, but heavy with emotion. “It’s been a week since I’ve been able to talk to my daughter. I went to the school twice, at the times I’d arranged with Marcela. The first time, she didn’t send Luna to school. The second, she picked her up early.”
