“I’m not gay…” Jim eventually managed to break the silence.
“I never said you were,” Benjamin replied. “I’m just stating the possibility and am telling Rebecca to be careful because she’s a good friend of mine.”
Rebecca was pleasantly surprised by those words. She didn’t remember anyone other than Jane calling her a friend in recent times.
“I appreciate your concern for her, but I’m not a gay,” Jim maintained eye contact with Benjamin. “If I was a gay, I would have approached you secretly by now since you’re handsome. But I didn’t. Because I’m not gay. I don’t know how else to prove this.”
“You don’t have to prove anything. You just said indirectly that you’re gay,” Benjamin said.
“Huh? I didn’t say that,” Jim quickly retorted. “What are you talking about?”
“No, you did.”
“I didn’t.”
Meanwhile, Rye pressed her foot on Benjamin’s foot, telling him to stop.
