Vanessa was still by his side like glue.

Everything he did to me still hurts and I would not get fooled again.

“Don’t you love me?”Declan asked.

“We’re not in love,Declan.If we were,we wouldn’t have filed for a divorce.”I said,trying to hide how devastated I was.

“You continuously asked for a divorce.I had to give you what you wanted!”

What I wanted?

I was too sad and angry and I didn’t know what to say next.

Declan closed the distance between us and held my shoulders.

“We don’t have to fight everytime.”

“I don’t have the energy to fight with you anymore…take your brooch and leave.It’s a better fit for Vanessa.”I forced opened his hand and placed the brooch.

Then I held open the door for him.

Without staring at me,he walked out of my apartment.

He always said he has nothing to do with Vanessa.

But she was always by his side…she was still by his side.

I leaned against the door and tears rolled down my cheeks.

I hate seeing her by his side….

I hate the fact that they look so good together.

But more than anything,I hate the fact that it felt as if I was being torn apart right now.
