At the very next moment, Jackson reached over and grabbed her wrist.

Serenity looked back at him in surprise. “What’s the matter?”

He pursed his thin lips, and his gaze gradually cleared up. Wearing a slight smile, he replied, “It’s nothing. Go get changed.”

After he had let go of her hand, Serenity went into the changing room. It was only when she shut the door that Jackson closed his eyes.

Not yet. He had spent so much effort just for her to grow close to him. She would be frightened if he moved too quickly.

Serenity was like a timid little animal. She was as cautious as she was timid. Every step she took was filled with trepidation. Jackson, on the other hand, had to be extremely patient in order to slowly break down the wariness of her heart. For her to learn to rely on him, he had to take it slow.

Only then would she truly fall in love with him. Only then would she be unable to leave his side!

And so, patience was key...

But he wanted her love so badly!
