Clara hurriedly stood up straight and awkwardly told the nurse. “He… He’s awake.”

“I’ll inform the doctor to come over to give the patient a check-up,” the nurse said.

Clara looked at her wrist which Wilson was holding after the nurse left. “Loosen your grip. The doctor will be here soon.”

However, Wilson didn’t let go of her. It was the only way for him to be sure that she was safe and sound. “Are you sure that you’re alright?”

“Yes. The baby’s fine too. Thanks for saving me and… our child,” Clara said.

Wilson was surprised to hear her say “Our child”. It made him feel like they were back together.

“It’s… great to… hear that,” he spoke with much difficulty because he had choked up.

“Don’t talk too much, your neck is injured,” Clara said hurriedly.
