Jackson got out of the car as soon as the car stopped. He was surprised to see Serenity and stopped in his tracks, their gazes locking.
"I-I need your help," Serenity rasped through her cracked lips. She had a dry throat because she had not drunk any water since last night.
"Looking for me?" Jackson said coldly, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "What are you doing here? Is your memory that bad? Why won't you take my words seriously? Didn't I tell you yesterday? Don't ever show up here again."
