Irene’s body went limp, and Dustin caught her.
He loosened her bindings.
Looking at the vicious cut on Irene’s face, Dustin’s heart ached.
If he was right, Irene’s face was ruined forever. For a beautiful woman, it took great courage and determination to go as far as to disfigure herself…
But to avoid being a burden on him, Irene had made that choice without hesitation. She had been willing to die.
Dustin did not know why she would do something like that.

“Why are you so foolish?” Dustin asked as he held her.
“Because… I didn’t want to burden you…” Irene said weakly.
Dustin was speechless.
Beside them, Bianca’s expression shifted several times before she gathered herself and took a few steps back. She quietly sneaked out of the house.
