Laurent entered.

River told Rosalie, “The head of the Lafayette family is back. I’ll need to hang up now.”

“Okay. I’m almost done with my work and can head over soon.”

They ended the call.

Just as River was standing and putting his phone back into his pocket, Laurent came to him.

“Hi, Mr. Lafayette.”

River greeted him with a smile.

Laurent returned the smile and said, “You must be River York. You resemble Zachary.”

Since River’s and Zachary’s fathers looked alike, it was no surprise that the York cousins would bear some resemblance to each other.

River replied, “I do share similar features with my cousins. We’re related by blood after all.”

The York brothers shared the same paternal grandparents and had a close relationship with each other.

Laurent shook River’s hand and invited him to take a seat. Meanwhile, he took off his black suit jacket and handed it to Suzy.

Suzy left after taking it.
