Rosalie’s expression darkened.

“River! Can you be serious for once?”

River said innocently, “I am being serious. I’m not even smiling. Everything I said is true.”

Rosalie was momentarily speechless.

After a pause, she tried again. “So do you actually want to go on these blind dates or not? If not, I won’t waste time arranging tonight’s blind date, and I’ll cancel this whole month’s blind dates.

“Yes, we signed an agreement, and I can’t go back on it, but if you’re the one not cooperating, that’s on you. It wouldn’t be my fault even if I canceled the dates.”

River replied, “But I showed up, didn’t I? You arranged a blind date with your employee, and I came. I even brought her flowers. How is that not cooperating?”
