Camryn immediately handed the phone to her son, letting him negotiate with Uncle River. She could not bring herself to suggest sending Merry over.
After all, there were several other kids at home. If Merry went, the others would surely throw tantrums to follow. Moreover, River, being an unmarried man, probably would not be able to handle eight children all at once.
Thus, Camryn let her son do the talking while she stayed silent.
If she had the time, she would have joined Serenity’s trip to Solville. However, she would not be free until later in the year, when she had planned to take Merry on a trip to broaden his horizons.
She had already discussed it with the other sisters-in-law. Serenity had promised to squeeze out some time to bring Heath and Callia along.
Their plan was to visit Satbury to see Austin and his family, then stay a while to enjoy the milder summer weather there.
Since marrying Isabella, Austin only returned to the York home for major holidays and usually stayed
