Serenity laughed. “How long have you been enemies with Ms. Lafayette?”
“We started going against each other after I joined Crest Co., so it has been five years. I have to admit that she’s competent and formidable. Thanks to her being my opponent, my life isn’t that lonely.”
River regarded Rosalie highly.
“I do admire Rosalie. She holds a high status in Solville’s business industry and is an elite lady of the Lafayettes. Many tycoons want her to be their daughter-in-law.
“However, while the young men of Solville like working with her, they don’t want to date her. Perhaps they think she’s too strong and stands out too much. If they date her, she’ll steal the limelight whenever they’re together.”
To River, the talented young men in Solville were simply inferior to Rosalie.
They thought being with Rosalie would make them feel suppressed and hurt their pride.
While those men admired Rosalie, they did not harbor romantic feelings. They would refuse to marry Rosalie if given a choice.
