Following the birth of the child, Grandma May had officially become a great-grandmother.

Austin said in surprise, “Oh, Serenity will spend her maternity break at Wildridge Manor. She can get some peace and quiet there. The air is fresh too.”

The manor was the best place to rejuvenate and recuperate when work was not involved.

The Yorks were often occupied with work. Due to the long travel to the manor, they would leave and return in a rush, unable to experience the tranquility and peace the estate had to offer.

The older members of the family preferred to move back to the manor after retiring. They could never get bored, even if they stayed indoors for a month. The manor was huge and had great scenery. The household employees lived near the foot of the hill.

Grandma May would engage with the senior members about everyday topics. Life was bliss.
