Zachary hesitated and struggled for ten minutes before he pushed open the door to get out of the car and walked into the florist.
“Sir, would you like to buy flowers? Are they for your girlfriend?”
After Zachary looked around the shop, he said to the shopkeeper, “It’s for my wife.”
The shopkeeper smiled. “Is this for a birthday or wedding anniversary?”
“Neither. I just want to give her flowers.”
The shopkeeper smiled. “What about a bouquet of roses interspersed with baby’s-breath?”
Zachary
