I was freaking out inside this house. I woke up to the smell of coffee in the kitchen, but Samantha wasn't with me on the couch. I got up, went to the kitchen, and found Hebe sitting on the stool in front of the window.
"Good morning, little brother! How are you?" Hebe looked at me as if analyzing me.
"I'm awful, Hebe. Have you seen Samantha?" I wanted to know where she was; I wouldn't accept her abandoning me because she felt insecure.
"Yes, I did." Hebe pointed to the window. "She's been there for a while."
"I'll talk to her." I turned my back to go to where Sam was sitting outside the house, facing the sea.
"No, you won't." Hebe raised her voice slightly, making me stop. "Sit down and drink your coffee. She's there to think, and you're not going to interfere in her thoughts; that won't help."
