Rhiannon stood petrified in the doorway of that small room as Aidan walked towards her and gently pressed against her back.

“You're right, I lied to you, I kept all the important things from you, I hurt you,” the Alpha murmured in her ear. “I'm a catalog of mistakes, Rhia, but even though I've done things the wrong way, my feelings are still the right ones... and those I don't have to tell you, those I can show you now.”

Her hands gently roamed over his shoulders, causing that blanket to slide down to the floor, and her whole body shuddered from the contact and the nakedness.

“I don't want to know,” Rhia decided. She wanted no more promises, no more fears, no more betrayals in her life. She'd had plenty of those already. “I don't want to know.”
