A few days had passed. Ara and Kate were nearly done with Bastien and Lucca’s suits.

—Why didn’t you choose blue?

—Because I don’t want it to remind me of the old one. Bastien looks perfect in any color—especially black.

—I like it. And the cufflinks?

—Those I’ll still wear. I only threw away the suit.

—I see.

—Done. —Kate looked at the finished suit. It was velvet black, with soft fabric pants and a slightly heavier velvet jacket. Underneath was a red shirt she had picked out herself, with a matching black tie. She smiled, satisfied with her creation—. What do you think?

—I love it. I think it’s time to bring him in.

—Exactly.

Kate and Ara rushed toward the study, but arms suddenly wrapped around Kate’s waist.

—Where are you running off to, princess? You could fall. What would happen to our little bean?

Kate jumped.

—Bastien! You scared me. I thought you were in the study.

Hands slid around Ara’s waist, and a kiss landed on her neck.
