Days had passed. Kate was happy with the preparations for her shop, the pregnancy was going perfectly, and her life with Bastien was just as wonderful. He and Lucca had been tracking the “Black Widow,” following her hideouts. Kate had designed a dress for the grand opening that flattered her growing belly. While Bastien was in his office, Lucca was with Ara bringing her some milk. The day was cold. Ara looked outside and saw it had started to rain.

—Where’s Kate? Is she with Bastien?

—Why?

—Bastien’s in the office, and Kate was in the studio.

—It’s raining.

—So?

—Kate is outside getting wet. I can bet on it. Call Bastien or she’ll catch a cold.

—How do you know?

—Every time it rained, Kate would be outside soaking. She loves the rain, and I doubt this is an exception.

Lucca texted Bastien. Upon reading it, Bastien immediately ran to the backyard. He couldn’t find her at first, but when he rounded the mansion… there she was, standing outside her studio, spinning in the rain.
