Kate was having lunch with Bastien at a restaurant; they were laughing and holding hands.
—Love, do you think you could take a few days off? I’d like to go to the little house on the beach, just the two of us. We can leave Addy with Lucca.
—I’d love to. Maybe this weekend?
—That would be perfect. I want to go back to that little house where we found each other again, where we reconciled. I still remember the day you walked in with those tiny shorts, straddling me just to tempt me.
—I didn’t want you to leave. I wanted to keep you with me. I wanted to feel yours again.
—You’ve never stopped being mine, Kitty. —Bastien kissed her hand.
—What if… —Kate caressed his leg, looking at him mischievously.
—Kitty, don’t tempt me.
—There’s a nice hotel nearby, I see it every time I pass by the office.
—Oh, really? Would you like to visit it with me, my wife? Would you be my lover this afternoon and run away with me in secret?
—I’d love to, Bastien.
Bastien smiled slyly; his eyes full of desire.
