Rhiannon Gearhartit's like Dickens' serial novels. Great Expectations was released in this same type of format. It's been going on for hundreds of years. But yeah, it is a scheme to get more money, since I wouldn't pay $20 for this whole book before starting it, but I would pay a small amount per chapter.

TayI love this fic, but I’m going to have a break if not give it up altogether. The chapters are far too short, and it’s costing a fortune. The last few chapters feel rushed and not really worth the money I’m paying for them.
