Despite Tanya's reluctance, she agreed to join the party for the sake of future partnership, if not out of respect towards Bernard.Alexander sighed in relief and quickly said politely, "Thank you, Ms. Sweet. I'm sure it has been a journey and you'd need some rest, so I'll let your concierge lead you and your family to your villa. Mr. Arnault also instructed that you just need to ask your concierge for anything you need, and our island's staff will do their best to meet it."Tanya nodded. "Do send Mr. Arnault my thanks."Alexander smiled, but at the same time wondered if Tanya misunderstood. While he said they would meet her needs, he never mentioned waiving the bill for her stay. And with how frugal Bernard had been late, he was not about to pay Tanya's bill for her…For an instant, he thought about warning Tanya indirectly, but soon decided against it.If Tanya got upset, Bernard would blame him for talking too much. The policy required all payments to be combined into a sing

When Charlie, Claire, Elaine, and Jacob arrived at the French restaurant, the concierges and waiters there would inform the guests coming in about the same thing: That there was a party at the seaview bar in the evening, everything was free, and everyone was invited, as it was a party Bernard Arnault and his wife were hosting in Tanya Sweet's honor.Elaine exclaimed, "Whoa, Tanya Sweet really came?!"Hani nodded. "Yes, Madam Elaine. Ms. Sweet actually arrived this morning—you have to attend the party if you're a fan, as you stand a chance to get a photo with her and an autograph."Elaine chuckled through her nose and clapped Charlie on the back as she bragged, "Actually, do you know that Tanya recently had, like twenty concerts in Oskia? My son-in-law here was invited on her crew as a Feng Shui consultant. You could tell her that Master Wade is on the island too, and she should visit whenever she can."Hani was left gaping as he blurted in shock, "Madam Elaine… are you serious?!"

Tanya was definitely no fool, but she was not as sharp as a tack either. Not able to read between the lines—especially against a sly old fox like Bernard, she even nodded respectfully. "You're too kind, Mr. Arnault. Your islands have been famous for so long, I've been looking forward to visiting them for a long time. Naturally, I can't bother you over little old me, but I didn't think you'd be here yourself. Talk about a coincidence!"Bernard laughed. "The Oskians call it fate, and it's what brings us all together. Let's enjoy a couple of drinks at tonight's party too, as the Oskians would always bond over social drinking."You seem pretty interested in Oskian culture, Mr. Arnault?" Tanya asked, surprised.Cindy complained just then, "He went on a trip there recently, and came back a new man. He claimed he learned spiritual training over there and actually seemed to develop a passion for Oskian history, too."He had since been reading up on all kinds of Oskian literature and resea

As the Cheval Blanc Randheli was a C-shaped islet, the outer circle was a shallow reef, suitable for diving. However, because the reef was sharp and the waters shallow, ships couldn't get too close. It was down the middle of the cove, where the waters go over ten feet deep, that small and medium vessels could steer in.Management was naturally quick enough to intercept the other ships, stopping them outside the cove and forcing them to patrol the outside reaches. The loudness of the engines left Charlie annoyed—it was a rare vacation and he just wanted some good sleep, but the whole place was as noisy as a flea market on his second day here.Tanya's sudden arrival left Claire in a bad mood too, and she didn't want to leave the villa if she could. Even when they went out to the restaurant for food, she would look over her shoulder in fear of bumping into Tanya.

Both Charlie and Hamed felt a little awkward just then, as there were plenty of things that shouldn't be said out loud.Hence, deciding not to go down that path, Charlie clapped Hamed on the shoulder. "Try to head home and get things done. Call me right away if you're having trouble—I'll do my best to help.""Okay!" Hamed nodded, emotional. "Thanks, brother!"-Charlie and Claire remained adamant about not attending the evening party. On the other hand, both Elaine and Jacob were very interested, and having heard about the details, were keen to join the fun.Bernard was himself keen to use this opportunity to get a freebie off Tanya—his enthusiastic invitation was naturally extended in hopes that Tanya would sing at the party. The seaview bar always had a live band, a stage, and all the proper equipment to deliver a lively atmosphere. If Tanya would sing some of her trademark songs there, the guests would be pleased, and, most importantly, the establishment would gain global att
