ISABEL: Even though I am where I cannot really see, I feel hopefully that something will happen for another life. One of the most beautiful landscapes that a mortal creature has ever seen is the majestic move of deep, dark blue waters around the mysteries of the French Island of St. Michel, which almost swallows it with the bravery of the sea.... I see them so full of energy, like the strength that a rider needs to have to rise from the very falls that existence brings him...

The blown wind passing us almost makes us petrified and dancing for an instant. The foot in the water buries itself on the shore and the mist brought by the wind whispers a serene sound. It crosses my mind that I cannot turn a magnificent sword into prayers of violence, nor into an instrument of war, which makes innocent people bleed. It is then that nothing more gratifying would be to make the devil dispossess his earthly temptations and return to the foggy hell. Please, see my watery face and for the suffocation, I ask you: Bless me until the end of time, without you I perish like a corpse.

Once when I was a little girl, I saw around the Island several white horses running in the water by the sea and that day I knew that I would inherit one of them to live for me in the palace. My parents are deceased; their graves are inside the cathedral. [...]. Sometimes I seem to have follies that look like blessings: They remember the past and I only see wild horses running in the waters in a beautiful way until I hear a legend: “long time ago, after they’ve been used like tools of war and it had fallen by the sight almost blind, they perished on the sand and suddenly the snow has become like a red and bloody flower that spread itself about the bodies like symbol of passion and fury”.
