The Empress thought that Darryl had deliberately said that to anger her.

Yvette dismissed it with a laugh. She felt crossed, so she walked up to Darryl and pushed him out of the cave. "Darryl, can't you be more serious? How can you make fun of my mother?" She lowered her voice so that the Empress could not hear her.

Like the Empress, Yvette also thought that Darryl had pulled a joke.

Darryl thought that Yvette looked indescribably charming when she was angry. He wanted to pull her into an embrace and kiss her, but he held it back.

"Alright, alright, I'll say no more. I'm going to sleep!" Darryl responded with a smile.

Darryl went to a meadow about a few kilometers away from the cave, and he sat cross-legged to meditate.
