Adrian shook his head and observed the dust on the ground. As a long-abandoned dwelling, the layer of settled dust was significant. He followed the young master’s footprints while using a technique to keep himself afloat as to not leave traces. That way, he didn’t have to be afraid of being discovered by anyone coming from behind. If that level-eight immortal arrived and saw extra footprints on the ground, it would be obvious that another person was there, making Adrian’s escape impossible since this was a one-way passage with no exit.

Adrian continued following the footprints until he reached a room where the tracks vanished.

“Have I revealed some flaw and been discovered?” Adrian questioned himself, but it didn’t seem likely.
