"Hehe." The man chuckled. "There have been quite a few daemon attacks recently. How about joining us? If you join us, it'll be easier for you to handle those daemons too."

Adrian waved dismissively. His pause earlier had been purely out of courtesy and curiosity about these peoples’ intentions. If they were merely asking for directions, that would be fine, but if they harbored malicious intentions, Adrian would not mind teaching them a lesson.

"Are you sure about this?" the man asked. His hand subtly moved, and the other four men approached with smirks.

Pretending ignorance, Adrian asked, "Have I done something that upset you? If so, I'm willing to offer an apology. How about it?"

The man was taken aback for a moment, and a sly-looking man with a treacherous face interjected, "Sir, don't waste time talking to him. Let's take him down, and everything will be ours."

"Aren't you afraid that I'm an apprentice of a major faction?" Adrian asked coldly.

"Hmph, if you weren't from a majo
