Adrian didn't even need his sword to deal with the black-clothed man.

The black-clothed man struggled to get up, coughing up blood several times. But even so, he refused to yield. "Hmph, it doesn't matter if I perish here today. You're all doomed anyway!"

Considering their numerical disadvantage, lingering would only exacerbate their perilous situation. Frosch and the others voiced no objections. At this juncture, they had to prioritize the bigger picture. Where there was life, there was hope. As long as they remained alive, a day would come when they could rise again.

"Follow this road eastward. There's a forest thirty miles ahead. We'll meet there before dawn!" Adrian instructed.
