Adrian saw the woman on the stern deck in the distance, and his brows furrowed together. ‘Isn’t that the girl I rescued?’

But Adrian ignored Lucy and continued rowing away.

Lucy wasn’t discouraged by this though. She looked around and noticed that some crew members were closing in on her. They might discover her soon, so she quickly slipped off her cumbersome dress, and underneath was something like a nightgown. She then jumped the railing and plunged into the sea.

The water churned as Lucy once again dropped into the sea. After a little struggle, she broke the surface and started paddling toward the small boat.

Back inside Alfie’s room, the atmosphere was tense. They didn't know when the ghost would appear again, but because of Adrian's caution, they cowered in their room and didn't dare to step outside.

"Did you guys hear that?" Alfie suddenly asked his companions.

"It sounded like the sound of someone falling into the water," another person answered in a trembling
