Adrian got up and summoned Dragonbane in his right hand. At that moment, he possessed Dragonbane's powers, but he himself was not an immortal. He was not sure how long he would be able to last with just the sword.

Adrian strode into the base, and the monsters immediately turned toward him upon detecting human scent. All eight of them let out a cry before rushing toward him in a maddened frenzy. One of them was a gorilla with extreme speed, letting out a loud yell and spitting out blood from its mouth.

The monsters were charging in from different directions, but Adrian held Dragonbane up and yelled, "Bring it on!"
