Before the ambulance arrived, the screams in the basement had stopped.

Chuck was covered in blood. His clothes were torn apart. He had already passed out from the pain.

"Fetch me a bucket of water. Wake him up."

One of her men fetched a bucket of cold water and splashed it on Chuck's face.
