Charlie originally felt no sympathy for Jameson at all.

There were so many parents of children who had cancer in this world, and Jameson was just one of the millions, which was nothing special at all. Most importantly, Jameson originally had the opportunity to save his son’s life, but he gave up on this opportunity because of his own ignorance and arrogance. In that case, he no longer deserved anyone’s sympathy.

Charlie never thought about giving Jameson or his son a chance.

However, Charlie was surprised when Leni mentioned that Jameson had actually resigned from his position and job as the head of the FDA after Charlie met him last time and told him that he would have to pay back first if he wanted something. Although Charlie was well aware that the reason why Jameson did this was probably to fight for a chance for his son, Charlie appreciated the fact that he really tried hard in the
