With her hands on her back, Marci continued walking until she was face to face with Adina. As she blinked, two fine beams of mysterious light shot out of her eyes and entered Adinaʼs orbs.

A mental battle was initiated instantly. Adina and Marci were both on a battlefield only the two of them could see.
