After Thea hung up, she looked at James. Her face looked like it was carved out of stone. “James, how dare you. Xara has just started working. You know it’s not easy to make money. How could you borrow three hundred thousand dollars from her?”

James smiled but stopped and shut his mouth when he saw Thea’s icy look. He stood up and said, “I’ll make lunch.”
