James wanted to react but could only watch silently as his cultivation rank was indeed low.

Monica was offended on James’ behalf and said, “Sir, why aren’t you saying anything?”

James looked at her calmly and said, “What should I say? There’s nothing much I can say to defend myself. He’s speaking the truth.”

Monica stomped her feet angrily.

The Great Elder looked at James, then ignored him. He turned back to Jules, saying, “I see you’ve been messing around outside all this time. Since the conference is about to begin you should quietly remain in Sky City. I still have other matters to attend to, so I’ll leave first.”

After speaking, the Great Elder turned to leave.

With a flash, he disappeared from their sight.

“Mr. Caden… I…”

Jules said embarrassedly, “We live in a world where strength is valued above all. However, the energy you exhibit is too weak. You’re formidable so why do you want to stay so inconspicuous?”

He could not understand why James was hiding his true strength.
