Shawn pursed his lips tightly. "It's okay. Nicole will be fine."

Gale looked at him helplessly.

What should they do if something goes wrong?

She was usually healthy. Why would she faint?

The ambulance came quickly. Gale picked up Nicole and ran outside but accidentally tripped on the carpet and almost fell down.

Fortunately, Shawn was quick, and he scooped her up.

"Give her to me," he said, reaching out his hand.

Gale glanced at him, hesitated for a second, and handed their daughter to him.

She was so independent.

In the past, every time Nicole was sick, she carried her to the hospital with her own hands, got injections, examinations, infusions...everything had to go through her hands.

There was Shawn.

She could be weaker, she could rely on him, and she could be less independent!
