Jane stopped the car in front of the homeware store.

“You stay here, Rebs,” Jane said. “Benjamin and I will go.”

Rebecca was not expecting her to say that, but she didn’t have anything to refuse her, so she nodded.

Benjamin also didn’t have anything to tell Jane that Rebecca should also come along, so he didn’t say anything, either. But he did look a bit disappointed that Rebecca wouldn’t be entering the store with him.
